I'm new here so go easy on me- It usually takes 10-15 seconds to move once started- although lift cylinders work right away- separate pump I know. The movement will jump into action whine a bit- then be fine for awhile- But soon will slow to a crawl- then not hardly move- slowing engine speed will help but not always. If I let it set for a couple hours- it will go again, but 10-15 minutes slows again. Oil looks to be foamy at times on dipstick. I am using the cheapest Tractor supply hydraulic fluid. When I first got this loader 3 yrs ago from used dealer- it appeared to have water in the oil-sat outside for 2 yrs on his lot. I changed it out completely- along with filters. Worked pretty good except need warm up time for 3 yrs. Now it whines a lot like as if air is being sucked in- but oil is up okay on dipstick. My travel valve under seat seems sensitive as to where exactly to adjust it to. Is my pump worn out? Will new better quality oil help? Dealer said it loader had low hrs- although hour meter had been replaced. My Dad has same loader- but his engine has blown- runs on 2 cylinders and valves broke-Would it be worthwhile to move his pump to mine- or should I move my engine to his? or should I try to fix my pump? or my system? I'm a mechanic on cars- can fix most anything- just not much experience on working on skid steers. I have changed hoses, starter, alternators etc- welded arm linkage etc...Just need to know what approach to take. Thanks for any advice.
