Just bought 97 863h 5200hr. Anything to look foof? Seems to run and work well. Be used for light residential construction. Also looking four auger for it .what does the h stand for. Thanks to all

By looking at the specs these are the only differences I see between the 863 and the 863H.
863 Operating weight 7135 lbs. 18 GPM pump flow
863H 7180 lbs. 28 GPM

With 5200 hours on it these are the things I'd check.
Change all filters unless last change hours are known.
Inspect and clean or replace case drain filters.
Drive belt and idler, check condition and tension.
Compression check on the engine to see how it's doing.
Chaincase oil to see if it's milky or overfull.
Quick attach pins for excessive wear.
Lift and block the machine, check all 4 axles for play(end and radial).

OM covered it pretty well but on a high hour machine I like to remove all the covers, raise the cab, and completely clean out any dirt, grease, gunk build up in the machine. The thorough cleaning will get you familiar with the machine and you will find any wiring or hoses that show signs of wear due to vibration. I would expect to find several hoses or metal lines showing spots of wear at those hours. Also during the cleaning any of the wear points can be checked for play and need of service. Some will have an issue with this but Do Not use a pressure washer to clean the guts of the machine. Engines can go at almost any hours so if it works keep the fluids changed and hope for years of service. Oil coolers are known to clog with dirt an debris so make sure they are clean even if you have to remove a bolt or two for an inspection.

If its a new to you machine there may be things hidden in the muck and dirt that are unexpected like wiring junctions and covers that may not be tightly sealed anymore. Better to go with a big putty knife and garden hose. just my 2 cents though

Rubber lines, electrical connections, shaft seals, and plastic tanks don't take well to high pressure hoses and the water they can force where it doesn't belong. Have you ever written your name in concrete with a pressure washer? In most cases you wont realize water was forced into a seal or connection and the issue will arise some time down the road. A putty knife and a shop vac will do a much better job and wont harm anything.

863H without Aux Hyd? Not sure I understand what you want.
I think that year was an option. Maybe i should get it home first i thought it had them my dad daid no.i looked at so many bobcats. But yes if it doesnt have aux hydraulics i need to install them to ran an auger to bore holes.

A hi flow with no aux have dad look again I think he will see two lines on the left arm and the right stick move back and foth might have a bolt in it stopping it .......unless someone removed them

They were standard equipment on the 863H and optional on the 863. Do you know the serial number?

I will be very surprised if it doesnt have aux hyd. Congrats on the new machine and we love pics.
Ok boys the village idiot is back. Yes it has aux hydraulics (i thought it did) didnt want to argue with the old man. Also vin # 514414167 i'm sure i'll have lots of question.off to buy an auger. Later

I asked if you had the serial number so you could call the Bobcat Marketing Service department at 701-678-6165 and they can give you some info on date of manufacture plus if it had any factory installed options.

More fun to come!!!

If is starting good I would leave the glow plugs alone if you think they are bd pull them put power to them should glow 1/4 all they way to the tip if bad take one to napa to see you want to stay away from bobcat except for filters and part that you can not find any where else they do not even kiss you first
