Just bought 97 863h 5200hr. Anything to look foof? Seems to run and work well. Be used for light residential construction. Also looking four auger for it .what does the h stand for. Thanks to all
Ut oh why not pressure wash I did my 743 with one tried to be carefulOM covered it pretty well but on a high hour machine I like to remove all the covers, raise the cab, and completely clean out any dirt, grease, gunk build up in the machine. The thorough cleaning will get you familiar with the machine and you will find any wiring or hoses that show signs of wear due to vibration. I would expect to find several hoses or metal lines showing spots of wear at those hours. Also during the cleaning any of the wear points can be checked for play and need of service. Some will have an issue with this but Do Not use a pressure washer to clean the guts of the machine. Engines can go at almost any hours so if it works keep the fluids changed and hope for years of service. Oil coolers are known to clog with dirt an debris so make sure they are clean even if you have to remove a bolt or two for an inspection.
If its a new to you machine there may be things hidden in the muck and dirt that are unexpected like wiring junctions and covers that may not be tightly sealed anymore. Better to go with a big putty knife and garden hose. just my 2 cents thoughUt oh why not pressure wash I did my 743 with one tried to be careful
Rubber lines, electrical connections, shaft seals, and plastic tanks don't take well to high pressure hoses and the water they can force where it doesn't belong. Have you ever written your name in concrete with a pressure washer? In most cases you wont realize water was forced into a seal or connection and the issue will arise some time down the road. A putty knife and a shop vac will do a much better job and wont harm anything.Ut oh why not pressure wash I did my 743 with one tried to be careful

I asked if you had the serial number so you could call the Bobcat Marketing Service department at 701-678-6165 and they can give you some info on date of manufacture plus if it had any factory installed options.Ok boys the village idiot is back.
