I'm having issues keeping my 885 running. I just replaced the starter removed the glass fuel separator. Put it back together and it ran for about 5 minutes. I forgot to prime the system...... Now I can't get it to start again unless I prime it. The hand primer has a lot of resistance. Using a fuel pump to push diesel until it comes out the return line I can start the machine and it'll run for about 5 minutes before shutting off. Then have to repeat using a pump to reprime the system. I took the plunger out of the fuel shut off valve just to make sure that it was not the issue. I do have 12 volts to it. And with it remove there's no pressure on the hand primer. Fuel freely runs out the shut-off port. is there something else that I missing in line that could be causing a vacuum loss? Or something I can remove to try to put back pressure on in case something is lodged in the line?...... I'm assuming my issue is from the pump forward...... Sorry for the long post just trying to provide as much information as possible.
