Hello all and thanks in advance. Attempting to remove the starter from a New Holland LS 180. Does anyone have tips on how to get this sucker out? After taking a look at it, seems like fuel filter and water trap have to be removed. Looks like the starter is wedged it in tight next to the injector pump and the rear mounting bolt is hidden behind the solenoid. If somebody has done this before is there a easy way to do this and any tips would be appreciated.

not sure if the 160 is the same, but this video is there on changing starter on one

It's a different model and location. I've seen that video but it doesn't correlate to the ls 180. Haven't been able to find a video that is helpful. Thank you for replying and for your help.

the second vid I added stated its off a 180 is yours a different yr maybe ,
have you looked at the parts schematic , that many times helps show one how it comes off/on?
that or give one of the messick's stores a call, there normally really friendly folk's willing to help answer question to help you fix things , or worth asking maybe if you need help! and no one else here adds to your post! or to just save wait time on that!

Not sure if you figured it out. But you don’t have to remove those things, just the bolts that hold it on. You have to rotate and tilt it. It takes a lil bit to figure it out but it comes right out when you hit the sweet spot.
