Something new happened today. Here in northern GA, we are currently expierencing 100+ degree heat during the day. I was wanting to move a mound of sand and while loading I noticed the engine temp of my LS170 rose to 208 degrees. I have worked my machine much harder than this and never seen the temp get that high. Checked the radiator, clean and clear, full of coolant. I know smaller turbo charged diesels dont like the heat, but is there maybe something else wrong? Highest Ive ever seen it was 198 degrees while aggressively using my brush cutter during 90 degree heat. I stopped working it because I do not like an engine over 200 degrees. Any thoughts?

That's about the only thing i'd check too. The radiator may not be flowing as well as it should, the thermostat could be a little sad too.
Good idea of letting it wait, best not cook the engine.
