I stalled out my older ls170 skid steer while attempting to move a large load. Have stalled it before, but was able to re-start right away. This time all I get is "click click click" instead of cranking the engine? Could i have tripped an O/L or blown a fuse? I don't have the service manual, but did manage to find an online version of it, however its not for my machine year, but very similar. I just had my house foundation excavated, and need this little guy to get in the tight spots. Thanx in advance for any help, much appreciated.

If you are getting a rapid clicking sound from the starter relay when attempting to start, all the start interlock system is working. Generally this is caused by the battery, either dirty battery cables at the battery terminals or the battery itself is shorted out. Yes, these batteries will fail while the unit is in operation. Could also be the starter relay. If you have a voltmeter check where the voltage drop is occuring.
