new Holland LS 180 blows the key switch fuse as soon as i turn on the key, it does not blow it in the service position??

It will turn over in the service position but it will not start, switch back to run and it will start if im quick but then dies and 15 amp key switch fuse is blown.

Sounds like a dead short. Something is definitely grounding out if the fuse is blowing. I might be able to send you the wiring schematic. Have to start looking for frayed wires and loose connections. If it just popped up all the sudden, trace back to anything you did or touched. Good luck

Agree with Nik, likely between the key and the relay, easy-ish way to check: 1) disconnect ignition wire from the key to the starter relay; 2) run a temp wire from key to relay, try to start. If it starts AND does NOT blow the fuse you know the short is in-between those two points..
