Leaking hydrostatic pump and one side of aux hydraulics quit working

Yesterday, i was operating a woods digger attachment on 753G machine and bucket stopped opening back but would close. I added fluid only to find out i had a really good leak from top of hydrostatic pump. This occurred right at sundown so i havent pinpointed leak yet but thought i might ask for your suggestions as to possible seals or hoses to check and what may be the best fix options. Ok, cleaned hydrostatic pump and ran tractor and cant see any leaks where pump is wet but clean fluid is running out the bottom of the body, both front and rear. I was using backhoe and bucket wouldnt open back up so i tried a grapple bucket and got like results as it wouldnt close the grapple but did open it when inguaged. Hoses only displayed pressure one side, not the return side. Definately tied to aux hydraulics. Any ideas how to verify where its leaking from? Ive lost 3 gallons of new oil out of bottom of the carriage.

Could it be leaking out the breather on the chain case?
On level ground, can you remove the plug at the front of the chain case? see if you get any fluid out, it should be level with the threads.

Hey buddy, where is the breather located.? I finally got the pinion seals replaced and only the top plate gave grief. Seal was totally shot on right, left was fine but replaced anyway. Im wondering if that seal blown could cause the aux hydro to go out on one side? Your thoughts? Or will i find another hose, seal in right side of belly?

I think the breather on this model is on the chain case behind the pump, near the fuel tank, it's well hidden.
Glad you got the seals done, there isn't a heap of pressure on them, but any damage to the seals sure can make a mess as they leak all the time.
Not sure that could cause one side to not work properly, as long as there is oil, it should still work as normal, it just makes a mess.
You're talkin aux hydraulics, so if you are using a bucket or grapple, it opens or closes? or was it a drive issue? If it's the aux, this is an easier fix than a drive issue.

Tazza, found a leak. Its on the bottom rear of the control block around the red cap base. It runs out about the size stream of a pencil lead. Im guessing thats where the detent balls are, right? I did the spool valve seals last year but never saw detent balls. Is there any good way to open this area without trouble or losing the balls? Can i take this apart without the special tool? Guidance is abundantly appreciated and my confidence level is much better as i learn this machine.
