L555 New Holland Help Please

First of all I am new to the forum. My dad has a L555 New Holland Skid Steer. He was working on the Final Drive ( according to the manual) facing the New Holland its the right side front wheel. He had a leak and was replacing the oil seal rings. When putting back together he dropped something. now its stuck in what seems to be an oil pan. Again I am just tech support for my dad so i am explaining the best i can. I purchased the Manuel to see if i can find what it is stuck on but i do not have enough knowledge of where to look. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

If what was dropped into a void was steel they make a magnet on a flexable rod that can be used for times like this.
