While trying to troubleshoot a fuel issue, I notice a drain cock below the lift pump is very loose and appears to be slowly leaking coolant. The tap will turn full circle but never seems especially tight. I've been unable to find a part name or number for it. Would it be serviceable or does it need replacing?

most of those coolant drains are 1/4 inch pipe thread , so it is a tapered thread so it should tighten and self seal.

Thanks. The leak appears to be from the tap itself, not the thread. I've managed to find the part number now, so hopefully that will guide me in finding a replacement.

I had the same problem on my L555 and if I remember correctly; the valve was a special order that was some ridiculous price. I replaced mine with a $5 radiator petcock from the hardware store and haven't had any problems with it.
