trealize this is an old thread but i am new here. my brother has a L553 has the kabota diesel (4cyl) 42 hp, i have a l555 has the perkins 4-108, and i have a friend that used to have the l553 deluxe had the kabota (4cyl) 42 hp, all 3 machines have aux hydraulics and we had them all parked next to each other trying to establish the differances... the only thing i could come up with was the delux had the aux hyd ran inside the boom arms and was rated at 1750 lb (on the tag inside the loader ). mine is worn off and cant read the rating and my brothers said 1700lbs. also the delux had a higher back on the seat. my 555 has the disc brakes (its a year or so older) and the other 2 had the sprocket type (wish mine had this i can see why they went to this you can actually tell if you forget the brakes on). other than that the 2 kobotas engines looked identical and all 3 loaderslooked the same. the 553 could actually lift more than the deluxe due to the weight kit.. i have a weight kit as well and could out lift the delux too. the lighter delux would just lift the rear wheels off the ground i am not convinced there was any differance at all and was prob something to do with year of production and sales gimics all three machines are tough as nails and i regret not getting a picture of all of them lined up so i could post itried adding on the the old post but wouldnt let me here are my additions to the topic..

Greetings: I also have an L553 with Kubota and my temp light keeps coming on. I've replaced temp sensor and thermostat with a new 82 degree centagrade/170-180 degree and the light keeps coming on at all different times and is not predictable. Wireing is great --even unhooked temp sensor wire and taped off and used machine and light did not come on so wire should be good and did all the normal shit, belt, hoses, etc. Any ideas?? Also I am new to this forem and can not post anything. When I clik on post new thread I get up some crap about cookies?????? What am I doing wromg????????/ Thanks Rene'

i have only had my temp light come on when i am workin the l555 hard on hot days but i do know the radiators can plug up fairly easy and you should blow the dirt out and or pressure wash them out regularly, be carefull not to bend the fins with the hi pressure water. also on my brothers kubota he as having the same issues so we pulled the radiator and took it to the local radiator shop and for 30 bucks they gave it a flush and no more temp issues..
