How hard is it to rebuild the control valve on a L555 new holland, i think this one is a cessna, and not a Dukes. Or should a person just buy new? It is bypassing alot. Any input welcome. Thanks in advance Brent!

Your sure its in the valve, not a cylinder piston seal bypassing? You downloaded the hydraulic testing info from the online manuals thread and went through the steps?
If it is in the valve it could be "load check valves" bypassing. Generally the soft seals are just to seal the valve of external leaks and those part are inexpensive and easy to change. The load check on my 553, the seat was part of the valve body and had to be re machined to repair it.
Sorry I have no direct knowledge of your model, but the exploded views should be available on messicks.com along with pricing fopr parts

Ken, i checked the new holland site and found out it is a cessna valve,(serial break) and they say they have went to the dukes valves but rebuild kits are available. If you shut the switch of when running it this engages the safty valve and loader will hold. (The way to kill the motor is with the trottle.) by tuning off the switch you shut off all electrical equipment. So i thought it had to be in the valve body. They will both bypass the lift and the tilt. thanks for the reply.(this is my brothers machine i am just helping him with it) Brent!

Hardest part is getting the little sucker off the machine. Done it twice, rebuilt once and replaced last time. You have to drop the skid pans, take out the fuel tank and get all the hoses and lines loose. Some of the hard lines you will need crow foot wrenches to get loose. As far as rebuilding the valve itself, I had it done by a hydraulic shop so I don't really know how hard that is. Hope this helps!

Ya it is a PIA there is no doubt about that, we dropped the pan, and removed one large hose that went over the top of the valve and we removed it out the top, my bother works on cars for a living so he is used to that hard to reach stuff, on these new little compacts. He did the hard work i stood and was moral support, well i did have to hold the T on the return line with a wrench from the bottom, i thought he had broke his elbow when the fitting came loose and he hit his elbow in the Very large cab( ha ha), he is ordering the rebuild stuff from the web sight Ken was so helpful in get us, and we are going to try it. He looked a the diagram and thought he could do it. So i will cross my finger and be more moral support. Thanks Guys for the input. Brent.

Replaced all the seals and the small springs, i think he spent around 100.00 in parts, so everything is new exept the large expensive stuff. It works great have no settle now, and eveything works alot smoother. Just an update Brent.
