Hey y'all. I noticed that I'm getting hydraulic noise at low RPMs from my JD 317 skidsteer which seems to quiet down if I bring the machine to about 2400-2500 RPMs. I would like to keep on top of this before there is an issue. Any ideas as to what causes this type of behavior. I use Rotella fully synthetic 15w-40 for all applications (crankcase and hydraulics).

I moved this to the Deere section so it will be seen by people who might have the same machine and are familiar with it.

Is this something new, or has it always done it? I know on my old Bobcat the hydraulics make a lot of groaning noise at low rpms, I just figure it's kind of like lugging an engine, it has a range that it likes to run in for optimum performance.
