I'm interested in getting a skid steer for around the house mostly for filling my pond partially and resloping the rest. I will be operating sideways on the slopes around the pond. I'm thinking of looking into a 2003 John Deere 280. From the pics the machine looks decent (haven't seen it in person yet) and the hours are 3000ish. Just want some honest opinions and possibly some machine facts. I feel that because this is a heavy skid that it would be better for the slopes.
