So i bought a jd 260 skid steer. Had water in hydraulic fluid, but now when i start the machine up the bucket tiltes all the way down without mrle pressing on the peddle.

When you say "the bucket tiltes all the way down" does this mean that it does it with force so that the front of the machine lifts or it bleeds down until it meets resistance and then stops?

That would be a valve opened up.
I'm not familiar with your specific machine so some of this information may not help you.

First look for anything that could be interfering with the control peddle. Make sure the linkage is tight and the peddle goes to neutral. Inspect the linkage for any damage or cracks. Some linkages have adjustments that can get loose and slip.

Check to see if the tilt valve is sticking open. This may require a helper with the cab safely secured open. If it is, again check you linkage before assuming that the valve is bad.

An internal seal could have gone bad in the control valve.

Now when u say valve, do u mean spool valve or relief valve. We took the valve control off last night and took it to hydraulic shop to get new seal done, thier was some water in the system milky hydrolic fluid.

Ok we got the valve control back and i did a air pressure test and got one of the caps blew right off with about 15psi. Iam thinking some this wrong with spool or the hole vlave body?
