John Deere 250 Skid Steer Right Side Steering Locks Up

I have a john deere 250 skid steer, I believe it is 1998 to 2000, and the steering on the right hand side will lock up. It will start without a problem and the parking brake light will turn off when the parking brake is switched off. The right hand side steering is the only thing that will lock up, the left side steering and the booms work well, so I think I can eliminate the safety switches as suspects. It will be locked from the start or it will start and run, sluggishly on that side, then lock up randomly. I would appreciate any and all help.

I had one that did this. You need to look at your brake actuating cylinder. I would just disconnect it. It is spring loaded, hydraulic disengaged. When the cylinder piston seals wear out,oil bypasses seals and so your brake is dragging that side because the internal spring is engaging the brake.
