I was recently on here and found info on my JD 317 seatbelt issue. My issue was if you unclicked the seat belt the machine would shut down. It did this the first time after using the remote hydraulics with a post hole digger. As long as you are stopped and the seatbelt is unclicked, the automatic brake should come on and the machine stays running. The problem ended up being the 2 prong switch(weather pack). It is located under the shield that is between the 2 foot pedals, it requires a 7/8" wrench. Unplug the connector, unscrew the switch and put in a new one, the JD part # is T212365. (45 dollar part) If you have trouble seeing where it is located, you can also raise up the cab and follow the remote hydraulic lines to the control valve where the switch is located. I appreciate everyone who posts on here. It helped me figure out my problem, just wanted to add some clarity and a part number for anyone with the same problem in the future.

Moved to the Deere forum where it's more likely to be seen by others with this problem.
