Jd 240 left hand control arm goes ahead

Just wondering if someone can help me out. I have a 2003 jd skid steer that as soon as u start it the left control arm goes ahead by itself you have to hold it in the neutral position. Any ideas what's causing this. Any help appreciated? Oh and the machine is a 240

The steering centering linkage is worn. It gets sloppy and won't hold the steering in neutral. System hydraulic pressure will then force it the rest of the way.
