Was curious what everyone thinks of the JCB Robots. Im looking to buy a skid steer for a growing residential construction company. I have ran many different brands and they all have somethings I like, and as usual somethings that I dont. The JCB caught my eye because of visibility you have all around, not just front, side, or rear, but all over. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated
 
They are not very commonbut I believe theyare a decent machine. The only bad thing for me would be you can't run tracks over the tires because the door is there on the left.

The visibilty when the loader arm is up is non-existent, forget about the Robot unless all your work is with the loader arm down.
I'm not knocking the JCB's, but you have to try a telehandler out first and then think about the Robot concept.
Their loader reach at full height is also not the greatest, they were right about the same with Cat's radius path loaders.

I test Drove a JCB 165 Robot. stability, lift, reach and I even say visibility its the same as any other radius lift loader. Where it excels is getting in and out and getting out when the loader arm is up. If you are going to be in and out alot it would fit your bill pretty well. If you have a designated operator I would stay with a more traditional brand unless you have JCB support close buy. Thats the main reason I didn't buy the one I was looking at. Good Luck Dozer
 
the loader arm is a NON- issue , that fact is that every other skid steer has 2 arms (most are about the same size). On my 1110t the arm can be up 5' off the ground and I still see over it to the right and the left side door is never a problem seeing. It pushes like a dozer , lifts huge loads and never feels unstable. About the only draw back I see is parts I feel are some times over priced and a bottom end can run you a good amount of money. the operating weight of my unit is 10,200 lbs but they make smaller units , it has 1860 hours and really all its had is PM work and tracks and Idlers.

Hi xcmark, I have the same machine 1110T I'm having issues with forward and reverse travel. Have you had any issues and could lend advice.

I just got a Volvo MCT125c, visibility is GREAT and anyone who says otherwise is full of BS. Also I use it around the sawmill, it will lift a 4500# 4' wide stack of lumber , another big plus is that you can leave the forks up and get out of it. Controls are really smooth and easy to operate , not like most jerky Bobcats I've drove.

That is some impressive lifting power.
I have never had a bobcat that had jerky steering that was not due to wear. The wear was repaired and it drives smooth as.

The reason I won't buy a Bobcat is the controls, seems like you have to run the engine wide open to get them to be smooth at all plus they have way too much travel. I ran a almost new 190t quite a bit and getting back in to my 75xt was like getting in a Cadillac. Both my 75xt and Volvo MCT125c controls are silky smooth at any engine speed
