international 4130/ hydra-mac 8c drive motor gasket

I am working on a international 4130/ hydra-mac 8c i am rebuilding one of the sundstrand drive motors and just got it removed. someone had put a makeshift gasket between the motor and the gear housing. can someone tell me if this should be a gasket or an oring here and where i might be able to locate which ever it is thanks Bob hydpumps

If there is an o ring groove, get an oring to suit it. If not, I'd just use RTV silicone to create my own seal.
