I messed up and think I may have gotten the hydraulic lines caught because sprung a leak where the arrow is. It doesn't look like this area can be tightened? Did I just buy new hydraulic lines?

Also whats the trick to routing these lines to avoid them being in the way? As you can see the slack is easily caught.

Not sure about your lines.

That steel loop on the arm is used sometimes to get hoses up and out of the way. You can loop the lines through them just make sure they have enough slack so you can lower the attachment all the way.

Also, there are aftermarket springs and rods that you can attach to the attachment to raise up the lines and take up slack. Many users just make there own customized to each attachment.

the slack as noted go thro the loop, I wind a loop in the hose if too much slack, just watch when you tilt the bucket down it does not tighten the hoses enough to cause the same issue

A break/leak at the fitting may be caused by the grapple at full open running into the fitting. If this is the case, you would want to add some stroke limiters to the cylinders

I think what happened is I never tightened up the fittings when I got the attachment. I think they were loose to be begin with and then I did not have the hose slack winded up property and it was catching. The hose was rubbing in a spot because it wasn't tight which caused damage to the hose. The loose fittings caused a hydraulic leak. If I had just tightened everything up and minded the slack, I think I would have been good. New to hydraulic attachments. A $250 lesson (new hoses)

Looks like those lines are unnecessarily way too long. You can also mount a hydraulic hose holder on the grapple frame to keep the hose from dropping down.

Here are a few options:
