Following. I have a T740 I would like to upgrade to the hydraulic Bob tach. I have looked at it seems possible. Any tricks or suggestions? From what the parts manual shows it looks like $2500 in parts and some wiring and hydraulic work.

Wiring should be plug in & play IF you have a closed cab machine.
Hydraulic is a little bit different, requires a valve block to be mounted at the rear side of the hydraulic pump. That might requires a new supply hose from the gear pump to the control valve and then of course all the hydraulic hoses to the power bobtach cylinder.
Most likely you have to drain your hydraulic tank before installing the valve block otherwise you will have a big mess and around 10 gal of hydraulic floating around in your machine.
