Can someone tell me how I can tell the date of manufacture of my OMC Mustang 440?, I know it is pretty old, 70's possibly I sent mustang a email and they said they have no manuals for it, I sent the ID tag serial number but they did not tell me the date of machine, I guess they don't have record that old - they even told a parts guy here for mustang they did not put Wisconsin engines in them anyhow info from tag is as follows 512-191 1762 OMC 1200&440 6900 r499 Any help would be appreciated BTW I did find what we think is the right drive belt from Jay Dee belts for 115 bucks tom
