Hi all , I have an old 743 with only a GP Bucket that I purchased to clean out horse stables, yards and sheep pens of excrement...I am thinking of purchasing a 4 in 1 or a grapple to lift tree trunks and branches to cut up on my saw bench !
But I don't have any idea how to operate the 4 in 1...I'm a septuagenarian and recently bought the machine for the job its doing, but now I'd like to use it for picking up timber that is far to long for the bucket.
If someone can enlighten me on how to operate one of these I'd be most appeciative .
Tia, Ketana....

First, you need to make sure that your auxiliary is working and that the couplings (these can be easily changed) are compatible with the attachment.

The auxiliaries are worked by moving the right drive lever to the left and right. If that lever does not move left and right that means that there is probably a bolt that needs to be removed at the base of the lever and the auxiliaries have most likely never been used.

Also, there is a detent when the lever is pushed all the way to the right. This will keep the auxiliary open for using attachments like mowers, sweepers, augers etc. It is easy to accidentally engage the detent while using the machine and it will make the machine not drive, lift and tilt properly. Just pull the lever all the way to the left to disengage the detent.

Thanks eversomuch for the response 👍🏻 I didn't have any idea how it worked, but thanks to your advice I will now go and check it out..

Bucket Grapples
When you find out if you can make the Accessory work, please give us a look. We have customers that use our Bucket grapple for exactly what you are talking about in the stalls. They like it for grabbing the hay/bedding as they clear. If you have wetter stalls though the bucket is best.

Our side walls on the bucket grapple have the lower cut so it isn't a perfect bucket but is a hybrid to do both jobs.

Hi Jared, Thanks eversomuch for your reply, I haven't checked out if my accessories work yet, it's too damn hot to be outside for to long in this heatwave we are having out here.
Where can I see this Bucket Grapple you speak of ?

Thanks Tia-
Hard for me to think of too much heat here in ND/MN where we are hoping to hit 20F today with snow already on the ground.
Please feel free to use this Hyperlink to our webpage.

The temperature here is in the early forty degrees CELSIUS 😳
Which is well over 100degrees Fahrenheit ...
