Does anyone know how to re-set the hour meter on a 2001 ...S-250 Bobcat ? The engine has just been replaced and does not reflect this on the hour meter. By resetting the hours, it would make it easier for oil changes and tracking fuel usage. Thanks in Advance.

You can't. Hours are locked in the controller. Only way to change them is replace the controller and set the hours then, but you need dealer software to do so. New engine or not, it is fraudulent to change machine hours. Simply write "new engine at XXX hours" inside the back door.

Deutz engine? How many hours on it when it died? How many hours on machine?

Just keep a note of the current hours and work up from there for oil changes. Even if you change earlier to get a round number to work from.
My S250 runs a turbo Kubota.

Early S250 and A300 had duetzs in them before switching to V3300 kubotas.
