If 743 has big bolt in middle of axle (removable hub) should be a B series...With the help of this forum I was able to locate my serial number. You can call the Bobcat Marketing Service at 701-678-6165 and using the serial number they can tell you the year and what series unit you have. Takes about 30 seconds.

There is usually a plate somewhere on the unit with the info. On the older models I believe it is on the left hand side when looking from the rear. My plate was missing and I found my serial # stamped on the front below and to the right of the chain case fill plug. I had to lift the bucket out of the way to find it. The numbers are very small. In reading previous forums the number can be located in various places.where do u fid the serial #? i bought my bobcat with a rebuilt engine so i dont think it will be on the motor
