Gehl mighty mac 8b. Do you have to pull the engine apart to get at starter bolts?

I got the seat out so can see starter... Do you need to pull engine or engine apart to get at starter mounting bolts? It is hard to tell but not seeing the bolts?

I have no idea, but since you know it is a onan engine get the model # of the engine and look for a exploded view to see how the starter mounts. some older onans use a starter generator combo setup.

I think I need to look for connection or bad switch or something. Battery stays charged on bench ( 2 weeks)..And if I run a jumper directly to starter it cranks great. but when battery was installed it just 'clicked'. after removing battery after sitting all winter it still had 11.5 volts. stays well above twelve now when charged. When I tried to jump start it before removing it still only clicked. I'm thinking now switch is bad or a connection? Im not chganging starter.. it turns over strong when fed 12v direct. Thanks.

Bad ground from the negative terminal to the frame.
Remove frame connecting bolt and clean(grinder) all icky bits.
