Looking for some input on timing belt replacement. Engine parts unlimited rents to coveted $700 tensioner for $200. Foley engines claims you can use the OTC #6673 belt tensioner instead. The OTC belt tensioner can be bought online, foley tells you the tension per this gauge. I can buy the OTC gauge and timing pins for less then the cost to rent the hydraulic gauge. Has anyone else gone this route? While I'm slightly tempted to buy the $700 gauge, I'm hoping my next large frame is a S series with a kubota.
