Hi I have s 450 with standard controls . In the operating manual it says that the bucket can be put in float mode by pushing the left toes and cab be unlocked by pushing the left heal. When I follow this instruction The bucket goes down and the front of the loader lift up. Any one can help. Thanks

I don't know about the 540, but my 743B would not go into float mode. What I found was it had 2 problems. 1. The left pedal was adjusted all the way rearward (it has slotted mount holes), this made the pedal toe area low, in the neutral position. 2. the linkage to the pedal had worn out bushings. These 2 items caused the pedal toe to bottom out before it got to the float detent. New rubber bushing and pedal adjustment and works great. Bill B

you have to push a little hard and it will click into place. yours is a new machine shouldn't be any adjustment issues. push hard you won't break anything.
