Just make sure the oil is rated for diesel service. It's not the same stuff as gas engine oil. I use Rotella 15W40 in my Deutz 1011 (863G) and other diesels. Chevron Delo 400 15W40 is fine too. ---Bobbie-G

As bobbie said, ensure it's diesel grade. I personally run castrol RX super 15W40
Diesels need the extra detergents to clean the inside of the engine.
