Just wanted to know if anyone had ever rebuilt a fan drive on a 763? Is it a hard job to do? It sounds like my bearings had gone bad in mine from the noise it is making. It had 85w oil In gear box but I think it has still gone bad.

Does the noise go away as the engine is revved higher? I'm thinking my fan bearing might also be bad. It Sounds like a couple of rattling bolts in the back @ idle

My 753 makes a rattling noise at idle. I hate it. Not sure if it's the bearings. Problably not. I think the the noise comes from slop in the gears. I took the belt of and felt the back lash and turning the pulley side to side about an inch.
Need to pull gearbox out

Check the belt idler pulleys! Take the belt off and spin them they should spin smooth and not rough or make any sound!
