I recently raised the operator cab on my 01 773to grease the steering shaft and was amazed at the amount of debris and dirt sitting on top of the bottom cover and around the chaincase and hydraulics. No oil that I could see; just damp dirt, pine needles, and the like. Is it necessary, or even desireable to flush out this debris? I don't see many drain holes on the bottom, so maybe this is not something to be done.

If its the same basic style chaincase as a 763 there is a hole at the back near the engine, its pretty small but its usually big enough to clean out with a pressure washer. Its best to scoop out as much as you can by hand first.
