Cat 260 skidsteer sputtering after putting aftermarket fuel filter

I was in a hurry and put a crappy aftermarket fuel filter on, ,after a few days warning light came on locking me out, I put a cat filter on and warning light went away, but now sputters when I throttle up, I bled injectors for air, still sputters question is can I bleed injector pump? Or ?

Yes, you can try to bleed the injector pump to ensure all air is out, check if there are any bleeder valves on the pump or the fuel lines connected to it (must follow the manufacturer's procedure). Plus, note fuel lines and fuel pressure, and check them. They also can cause sputters.

sputtering comes normally from a lean fuel condition, which a vacuum leak is also a cause, so is also a plugged up fuel pick-up in the fuel tank. was the fuel system giving you problems before you put on the after market filter? or was it done as normal maint.?
