I cannot get the aux. hydraulics to work on my machine. No pressure at all, I have tried to get the continuous flow to work to no avail. I don't have any manuals except the Operation and maint. manual and I don't know which solenoid controls the aux. ie: the main spool assembly or the one in the engine compartment near the rear of the machine. Can anyone lead me to the solution. This is a 2005 and only has 110 hours on it. Thanks

look down below on this forum to "continuous aux flow" try Bobcat ron's advice and see if anything happens.

Thanks Jerry, but, I have already tried that. Its like a valve is closed or solenoid stuck. No pressure on either side. In fact no fluid at all. Everything else seems to operate well.

Well, except the Rabbit mode which would disable the auxiliary's

Have you tried a dealer? Some of them are surprisingly helpful.
Not with this problem Jerry, the last time I contacted them about a problem all they would talk about was sending me a mechanic to check it out. My nearest dealer is well over a hundred miles and travel time applies. I must exhaust all other options before going to that extent. My Cat is for personal use and not business. In fact they would not let me register at Cat Parts because it was for personal use. Thanks for the suggestion.

Post this on heavy equipment forum also, a few cat people over there. I saw a post on a proportioning valve and a problem with aux hyd here but I can't find it now. you would think it would be electrical, all fuses are o.k.?

Thanks Jerry, I will post in heavy equipment, I checked all fuses and the relays. Interchanging the relays didn't reveal any problems. All of the fuses were good. I need the hyd. for a 6 way dozer blade, I can still use it but have to swing it manually and use a pin. Thanks for your suggestions

Still no advances on the problem but I just thought of something. There is a switch that can be pushed to relieve the pressure on the Aux. quick connects. Does anyone know what solenoid it activates. It could be the switch or the solenoid stuck in the relief system.

Do you have the electrical cannon connector for the circuit by the Aux Hydo connectors? I have the High flow setup and when I try to operate my 6-way blade, if I do not have the electrical cannon plug on the aux hydo I get no flow... Do you have any electrical wires coming off of your blade for the switch valves?

Did you solve this problem? I am having the same problem with my 2003 228. I traced root of the problem to the proportional thumb rocker "switch" in the joystick. It is connected by to a small ribbon cable through conductive tape - I think the glue in the tape had dried out and rocker was not making contact as a result. I figured this out after I destroyed the rocker. Now I need a new one but my local CAT dealer can only replace the whole joystick for $800. I can jury-rig a toggle switch to make it work at a single speed, but I would like to be able to replace the rocker to be able to have proportional control.

I had a valve on the work piece, Dozer Blade, so I just used another switch, cut the wires to the solenoids and routed 12v directly to the solenoid and switch, the speed is controlled by the throttle valve on the work piece. I have not had any problems. Some of the newer machines do not have the slide switch but instead use momentary push button switches. You should be able to purchase these and if you have enough room on the joy stick just drill holes and install them routing the wires to the solenoid. Good luck

Has anyone come up with a solution to the for the rotarythumb switch that controls the aux hydraulics? Has anyone found a switch that can replace the cat switch? Can anyone tell me which color wires do what so I can at least install a momentary on/off/on switch to make due. Replacing a 800 dollar joystick because of a switch is ridiculous.
