Cat 232b Roller Switch

I have a Cat 232b and cannot get an attachment to work on the external hydraulics. The roller switch on the right joystick appears to be bad. Cat told me I have to buy the entire joystick. Surely there must be a cheaper solution?

Sadly they are sold as a complete unit.
Ensure you checked the coils at the control block first. Make sure they aren't getting power.
Is the switch in the handle just on and off? can you jump it to see of the aux hydraulics work? It's a good way to ensure you are't going to condem a good joystick for another good, yet expensive one?
