after 10 min. at low revs. the "engine temperature led shows up". Top of the cooler hot, bottom absolutely cold. I guess it´s the thermostat. Did anybody exchange the thermostat on the 1840 and can give me some hints on how to do it and what to take care of ? Would be great, thanks, Rainer from Germany

In this case, I would not only checked the thermostat, but the water pump / impeller /. Once the top of the radiator is hot, so the thermostat opens the big circle of water - perhaps not yet fully open. I checked and hoses to the radiator - I've seen often in hoses ball from something like grease -Maybe bad antifreeze causing this ..... who knows.
