maybe the safety lock cables aren't released all the way. If that is obvious I'm sorry I'm just a newbie here. I do know from painful experience that those things work really well, I just bought a 1840 junker and had to winch it on to a trailer with a come along. I would imagine if they were failing to release that it would want to kill the motor cuz they are hard to drag.
Yes when I drive forwards and backwards it works awesome but when I turn it bogs down and takes like an hour to just turn left or right.

Sounds like a problem/failure in the hydrostatic pump sections or wheel motors.
The machine will roll in a straight line as there is little resistance and therefore the pumps don't have to make much pressure to do this.
But when you turn one side has to fight the other in order to skid (turn) the machine and this takes much more pressure from the pumps. If they are worn then they can't develope the necessary pressure, it won'tturn.
There are 3 distinct sytems, a hydraulic for the loader lift and tilt. Then hydrostatic pumps with fixed diplacement motors to turn . All 3 are combined in one unit on the engine. The two hydro sections will be closest to the engine.
Is one side stronger then the other? If you drive it into a pile of gravel to fill the bucket my guess is it also lacks the power to spin the tires?
