Case 1840 skidsteer shuts off

It starts and runs great for about a half hour ,engine shuts off just like you turn the ignition off. If you hold the ignition switch to start position it will run till you let the key go to run position , then the engine stops again. Let the machine sit for 15-20 minutes and it will fire right up and go another 20-30 minutes before stopping again. I have replaced the ignition switch , still does the same thing.

Sounds like your fuel shut off solenoid may be bad. It will stay running when you have the key on because the pull coil is holding. The hold coil is not staying powered correctly and allowing it to stop.
Could be a bad realy or connection too.

Thanks for the info. , does sound more like a bad relay. I have dug through the wiring connections and all looked good. Anyone got an idea if that is one of the three relays under the seat for the fuel solenoid? I don't have a wiring schematic of this.
