Good afternoon, I bought a Bobcat Case 1835B. It already had a problem. When I turn the engine with the key, it makes a turn and a half and then stalls. When I turn it in the opposite direction, it also stalls. I disconnected the pump from the driveshaft that connects to the engine. With the pump disconnected, I turned the shaft using the splines, and it turns freely and doesn't stick. I also put the Bobcat in the air and turned the wheels, and they are free, which indicates that the wheel motors are working properly. I don't know what could be causing the engine to seize or stall. I've thought it might be a blocked valve that's preventing the oil from returning, causing the pump to only turn a turn and a half and then stall.

If you can turn the wheels without disconnecting the drive chains or removing the lines from the drive motors there are problems with the hydro drive system . . .
What engine does this loader have? The 148 gas or 188 diesel?

look at your engine oil and coolant make sure that they are not mixing ,which would possibly mean a blown head gasket and the engine is hydro locked.
