Hello,

This is my first Bobcat, so it's possible that this is normal, but I wanted to get opinions.

After starting my Bobcat, it takes a few moments to be able to drive and/or use the hydraulics. Here's my startup sequence:

  1. Turn key on, wait until glow plug warms up
  2. Start machine (starts just fine)
  3. Pull the lap bar down
  4. Push the green button
At this point, my understanding is that the machine should operate correctly. What happens is the bucket won't lift/tilt, and if I push the drive sticks, it seems stuck. If I wait a little while and start nudging it forward and backward, then it eventually starts driving and the bucket starts working.

Is this expected? If not, any idea where I should look to resolve this issue?

Do you let machine warm up before trying to operate it?

Let the machine warm up for 5 minutes and see if the problem is still there.

If the hydraulic oil is too cold, or too heavy an oil for your climate, it will have a hard time pumping until it warms up.

I don't give it much warm-up time, probably not 5 full minutes. I'll try that and see if it goes away. Thank you!

I let it warm up for 5-6 minutes and still had the same issue. It seems like something gets stuck and takes a while to un-stick.

There is a check valve in a fitting on the control valve that is bad that causes that issue it's hard to explain which fitting it is but I'll try to find a diagram of it. But the fix is to take that fitting out and remove the check valve inside of it and put the fitting back in without the check in it.

Are you getting any codes or beeping?
It does have an H2607 code for an aux solenoid - I plan to fix that soon. No other codes. I suppose it could be related.

The weird part is that when it's behaving this way, the bucket will tilt but not lift or lower.

This is a video that show this repair.

Any idea which line it would be on a T450? Here's an image of the hydraulics. I checked one and it wasn't correct. I can check more, I just thought I'd ask in case you knew. Thank you!!
