Bobcat 863 engine problems

Gents, I recently purchased an older Bobcat 863C and I'm in the process of going thru everything to get it running nice without issues. When I run it everything is working fine however the top portion of the engine from the glow plugs up has a light smoke coming from that area? I did just replace all of the fuel return lines because they were all leaking badly however I would think all residual fuel has been burnt off by now, any ideas? Thanks Craig

You de-greased and washed it down and now all dry from oil/fuel?
It's possible it's an exhaust leak giving the haze?
Also, it's possibe it's a breather tube too, not sure if it's plumbed back into the inlet manifold to be re-burnt or not. If it's not, it's normal to get a little smoke haze from it.

It's been wiped down and dry, the breather tube is coming off the motor and routed down to the bottom. This machine does NOT have the PCV module... Could the check valve that's on the engine before the tube going to the bottom of the compartment be faulty and not opening causing pressure/smoke to push out valve cover?

It's always possible that it's the cause.
Wiping down never gets all the fuel, you get a smell for a while after too.
