I was operating my 2001 bobcat 773 turbo and suddenly hydraulic fluid came bursting out the bottom of the hydraulic cylinder on the left side. The cylinder is for the bucket in the front of the bobcat. Any tips on what people might think the issue is and what needs to be replaced would be helpful. I am a new bobcat owner so still learning. Thanks all.

take the cylinder off and have it repacked at a hyrdaulic repair shop. It will be a good idea to find out what size the hose fittings are and to buy caps for the hoses while the cylinder is removed to keep oil loss at a mininum. If the cylinder rod is bent or marred badly it might be best just to replace the cylinder. you could do it yourself if you have the correct tooling.
