Purchased an old 98 763 with a blown engine. I used to work for the only so I knew the bobcat a bit. He had proven the left lift arm in several areas requiring a weld shop to patch. When finished the left side was 2" lower than the right. During my rebuilding of that arm and the center structure I noted only the left cylinder lifts... full of fluid. Where do I start. I did just rebuild that cylinder also.

You failed to mention if this is loaded or unloaded, I have see booms get tweeked enough that only one side seems to lift when unloaded, and when setting the boom down without a bucket on you could see the boom tweek back , I would also check all the welds very carefully as you may have cracks at the welds elsewhere, if you are thinking it is a cylinder leaking issue, run the machine after warming it up for about 10 to 15 minutes and a leaking cylinder that works in tandem (ie a left and right) the leaking cylinder will be 10 to 20 degrees warmer maybe more on a hot day, you can use a tempture gun to check, I learned this at a caterpillar hydraulic class.
