Bobcat 743B Case Drain/New Connectors

As long as the tank still has a way to vent it should work.

Not sure how the hydraulic line is run up the arm and over to the tank. Make sure that the hose does not bind or pinch and that the movement of the arms up and down does not put any pressure or twisting on the hydraulic tank where the new hose is connected. Maybe a clamp on the cab to make sure of no movement. The tank and caps are plastic and a tank failure could destroy your pump and drive motors.

You might think about adding a filter to that line. I know that room may be an issue, and the main tank is filtered, but another filter would add some peace of mind in case something internally blows on the attachment. You could add the filter to the attachment instead of the machine.

Yes, I anchored the hose on the cab and cab cage cylinder, so it would not push on the plastic fill cap.

There is a pretty fine filter inside of the filler cap.

The cap vent is still open and it should drop the case fluid into the screen/tank without interference. I will try it on my power rake today, return from case is small, so hopefully the screen won't back it up and out of the vent portion.

I plan on trying to locate it elsewhere later and add a filter.

I will only use the power rake to maintain a four hundred foot stoned road and some other parking areas around my house. I will not use it as a contractor or for other jobs. Maybe my garden or some golf cart paths. So not much use.

I just replaced the guts in the two lift cylinders, so don't have any leaks at this point...

I tried it and it appears to work without putting tension on the filler cap. So far the flow keeps up with the screen filter.

I will relocate later when I figure out a good place to input. Like you pointed out the tank is plastic, so not sure how much better it would be by drilling a hole in the tank and adding connectors.

Anyone have additional ideas on this?

I only have one implement that has a case drain, so will probably only use it a few times per year...

Can you Tee into another case drain line? Like maybe from your travel motors or lift arm bypass valve (if equipped)
