bobcat 709 backhoe attachment

I am looking into purchasing a bobcat 709 backhoe attachment. I was wondering how these units perform? I would be using it on my s185 for around the house things. Also what size of bucket should i be looking at, i live in iowa. Any input would be appreciated. thanks cody

I bought a used 709 for $1,800, then shelled out an additional $900 bucks for 3 buckets (including a new 12" from the dealer). I am using it "around the house" for a remodel, and it is working out fine. I've got the fold down stabilisers, which I prefer due to the wider base they provide. Being a new "operator", I need the added stability they provide as I learn to be smooth.
