Block Heater

What is a good block heater for my 743. Something that is easy to install without taking the whole engine out. Last time I checked , the block heater had to be installed in engine behind the seat.

I believe if you have a original engine it is a Kubota v- 1702 , I would look up for a freeze plug type block heater, they usually are easy to install and not very pricey and do a good job.

I don't know what your engine has for ports but a circulating tank heater may be an option if there are threaded ports. Otherwise you could look for a lower hose heater. They are sized for the diameter of the hose. They aren't as efficient as a frost plug but better than nothing. I have even used the magnetic ones that stick to oil pans or blocks in a pinch on other equipment

I'm going to go with the frost plug engine heater. What size is the frost plug hole? Been searching around and found that there are 25 mm, 32mm and 35mm. Confused...

I have purchased the frost plug heaters right from the dealer for my 742B and also for a 753 (which has a Kubota diesel). I think they were both under $50 and work great.
