Waggles is correct. I believe your machine has a 1.6 litre 4-cylinder Ford Kent engine. Part are available through the automotive sector for this engine. Are you comfortable doing any of the work yourself? This can save you a bundle. Even just pulling and reinstalling the motor yourself will be a huge savings. Most automotive machine shops offer a flat rate overhaul service for automotive engines. Since your principle symptom is blow-by, I think that you will be looking at a re-bore, pstons and rings. I would also have the shop service the head while you have it off. So long as the oil pressure is solid, the bottom end should be in good shape. Get on the internet and do some research before giving up on this machine, especially if the rest of the machine is in good shape. Pulling the plug on the 642 and moving on to a different machine may only be putting you into position where you are dealing with somebody else's problems. Good Luck!!
