axel tube/housing snapped bobcat 185

Hello, first time user going in deep. just bought a bobcat skid, i think its a 185 and year 2000. the housing/tube of the drivers side rear wheel broke off of the case and took the axel with it. have no idea how to get to the box and once im there do i have a welder weld it back or do i buy a new gear box. do i need to lift the entire cab assembly off? drop from below??? no idea here excuse my terminology. sure apprecatiate some help. Tom
 
This will be a fun job, i see a few possible issues getting it right, none of which can't be forted out though.
The biggest issue you'll have is getting the internal length right between the two bearing seats for the axle.
They don't have gear boxes, so that's a plus. The part yous ee the drive motor mouting to is just a carrier, it has bearings, no gears as such.
If you can get pictures of the damage, it may help with giving advise.

If you don't have a book, you'll probably want to visit the manual thread and hook a service manual. Also get the parts book for the 250 as it has good diagrams on how it goes together.
The axle tubes aren't even listed as parts, and since the mounting flanges appear to be inside I don't know how they come out.

hi sorry for delay, i got photos today but cant upload, dont see a button for uploading. i did google "bobcat chainbox" what i got was the whole thing with 4 axel tubes as part of the assembly. that is what broke off. the rear right tube from the chain box. i recon, (guessing) that if thats how they are sold, i would have to replace the entire piece. if you got email i can send pics.
