'98 863F Overheating with power loss

I was removing snow from our yard today and I noticed a loss of power then noticed the heat guage midway into the orange. I limped it off the street back into the yard after letting it idle down to a lower temperature. +4 celcius, so just above freezing outside temperature. Any thoughts on whats causing my issues? I've never run any oil cooled diesel before, so I'm at a complete loss. I'm tracking down manuals but any help will be appreciated, thank you.

............I think I would look to the simple cause of your two problems as seperate issues to start and not try and find one cause that would fit for both problems at the same time , if that makes any sense ...................... I'd check the air box cooling fan belt first as air needs to flow thru the coolers , check the tension on the alterantor belt as it also turns the oil cooling pump ( water pump if it were water cooled ) , then I would check air flow thru the cooler fins as it maybe blocked up with dirt , the aux hyydraulics sticking on will cause a heat up also .......................as far as loosing power I'd look to the fuel filter and fuel pick up tube to start with ............................
