G'day again from Western Australia. I am welding out and remachining some flogged out bucket pins (and replacing bushes) on my '96 940E, and would like clarification on pin diameter. Measuring with a micrometer in the least worn area seems to show a maximum diameter of 31.51 mm. Would I be safe to assume that this pin started life as 1.25" (31.75 mm) ? I won't receive my new bushes for a few days, so can't use a bore gauge on them (and with unknown crush and clearance, it wouldn't really tell me too much anyway . . . . ). Thanks guru's !
